Pablo Hernandez has won the Leeds Player of the Year and the Players’ Player of the Year award in 2017/18 and 2018/19 respectively, and at 34 he is still going strong, much to the delight of Leeds fans.
He has been important to the side this term with three goals and four assists, but it is his general play and skill in taking on players which is the latest thing to spark fan discussion about him.
A compilation of the Spaniard nutmegging opposition players has been created, and though he has the ability to dribble past players by putting the ball through their legs, a surprising number of nutmegs have come from him passing the ball through, which is arguably even more skilful.
It has earned him praise from the Leeds faithful, who continue to appreciate and applaud the efforts of their midfield dynamo.
The nutmegs he has made are just yet another example of the quality he possesses at this level, and just how privileged the Whites are to have him amongst their ranks.
His intricate passes have allowed him to average 2.3 key passes per game this term, more than any of his teammates, and if he can maintain that rate until the end of the season he will play a big hand in Leeds’ promotion chances.
Virtually impossible: Can you name the year all of these Leeds flops arrived at Elland Road?
Supporters are clearly grateful for his contribution and have paid him plaudits in return, and though he is already highly-thought of he could become something of a club legend if Leeds reach the Premier League with him acting as the catalyst.
In other Leeds news, fans have also been reacting to a magical moment from another midfield player which has seen him recognised with an award.
