Neil Warnock’s newly-promoted Cardiff City side secured their first victory of the Premier League season with a 4-2 win over fellow promoted club Fulham on Saturday afternoon.
The London club’s battering at the Cardiff City Stadium took their tally of goals conceded so far in this campaign to 25 (the worst defensive record in the division). Despite having spent big in the summer and bringing in high profile defensive recruits such as Calum Chambers and Alfie Mawson, the Cottagers can’t keep the goals out.
They have now slipped into the relegation zone, and if manager Slavisa Jokanovic can’t get his side to tighten up at the back soon then he’ll quickly come under severe pressure.
